Si esta vela fuera un libro sería una novela de espías de Graham Greene o una de Nancy Mitford; si fuera un lugar sería el bar del Connaught, en Londres. Esta vela huele a conversación lenta sobre un chester y a paseo por el bosque con unas botas de goma. Según su creadora, huele a «palacio, a caserones cuidados».
Bon Voyage Pertenece a The Inventory, una colección española de fragancias creada por Paula González, factotum de The Singular Olivia y que de velas sabe mucho, mucho. Está elaborada con caoba, madera de abedul, cuero y ámbar. Huele a materias primas lujosas. La inspiración que tiene detrás, según su creadora, es «el primer viaje que se hizo en el Orient Express, un símbolo de diplomacia».
Como todas en The Inventory, está hecha a mano con ceras vegetales, aromas naturales y aceites esenciales; estos son los que dan a la vela ese aroma «de verdad»; huele a lo que dice. Hay un tamaño pequeño en lata, que sirve para probarla o para llevarla de viaje.
Estás velas están pensadas al milímetro, desde el nombre al packaging. El número 81 tiene su por qué: eran los kilómetros por hora que recorría el tren en ese primer viaje del Orient Express. Esta incluye una lista de libros para leer mientras la tenemos cerca. Las velas no son solo para las noches de invierno. Hay un encanto enorme en las velas de día.
